We are currently seeking high quality candidates for the following future opportunities:

Surface Instrument and Electrical Technician

Successful applicant will be responsible for technical support of the surface refinery operations by applying instrumentation and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills to complex refinery equipment controls.

The position will require flexibility in assignments and the ability to work without direct supervision. The successful candidate(s) will be required to read and interpret schematics and wiring/circuit diagrams. Above average competency in computer use for troubleshooting and database management is also required.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or two-year certificate in instrumentation or electronics. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and have an interest and aptitude to promote to eventual leadership positions within the I&E group. This position requires initiative and a willingness to take on special projects as assigned. Other technical qualifications are knowledge, experience or education on electrical hazards, AC and DC current and theory, PLC’s, motor theory, transmitters and control loops, switch gear, industrial power systems, and DCS controls/process controls.

Physical demands of this position require lifting/carrying of 30-50 lbs., working 12-hour rotating shifts, fine motor skills, climbing ladders and stairways, and color perception for reading and interpreting diagrams. Rotating shift work may be required.

Mine Maintenance Mechanic

Successful applicants will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical mining equipment. Safety and environmental regulations and internal policies and procedures must be adhered to.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or two-year certificate in mine or industrial maintenance. A minimum of 3 years experience working as a mechanic in an industrial or mining environment is preferred. Must have knowledge and experience with hydraulic systems and schematics; possess basic experience with operation and maintenance of diesel engines and mobile equipment used in mining; and, be willing to learn and operate mining equipment. This role requires the individual to be self-motivated and work in a self-managed environment. Experience with mining electrical systems and MSHA permissibility requirements are a plus. Must be able to meet physical demands (lift 50# on a regular basis, climb stairs and ladders frequently), pass pre-employment physical and drug screen, work in confined spaces, and navigating uneven ground. Manual dexterity is required. Rotating shift work may be required.

Surface Mechanic

Successful applicants will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial/manufacturing equipment. Safety and environmental regulations and internal policies and procedures must be adhered to.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or two-year certificate in industrial maintenance. A minimum of 3 years experience working as a mechanic in an industrial environment is preferred. Must have knowledge and experience with pump and valve replacement; pipe layout and schematic drawings; and, bearing and belt changes. Welding experience is a plus. This role requires the individual to be self-motivated and work in a self-managed environment. Must be able to meet physical demands (lift 50# on a regular basis, climb stairs and ladders frequently), and work in confined spaces. Manual dexterity is required. Rotating shift work may be required.

Process Technician

Perform routine analytical procedures as applied to soda ash analysis. Requires operation of laboratory analytical equipment (TOC, AA, UV/VIS, Viscometer, IC, Auto Titrator, Particle Size Analysis), and analytical testing of routine or investigative samples and product to ISO or other procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years experience in related position or an Associate's Degree in chemistry, physical science, or related curriculum. Experience or education in analytical chemistry (including wet chemistry), equipment calibration, computer spreadsheet development, knowledge of QA/QC systems, and knowledge of plant unit operations is preferred. Must possess good communication skills. Position requires the ability to hear and respond to safety response signals, climb ladders and stairs, wear safety equipment, lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and work in a dusty environment with uneven ground.

Warehouse Person

Successful applicants will be responsible for receiving, storing, and dispersing of maintenance and operating supplies. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate physical inventories; using the computer system for inventory control and distribution; operating light equipment such as a forklift; and, providing positive customer service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, experience operating a forklift, a valid driver’s license, flexibility with assignments, and good communication skills. Positions are physically demanding - require the ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently, work in a dusty environment, and walk on uneven ground.

Utility

Successful applicants will be responsible for general plant clean up/construction work, maintaining dust collection systems, belt moves, and operation of various light and heavy equipment such as a forklift, cushman, dump truck, tractors, scoops, bobcats, mantrips, scissor lifts, front-end loader, and vacuum truck. Successful candidates may transfer to either Mine or Refinery Utility before progressing to a position within that production department.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, previous industrial experience (mining experience and/or Basic Operator Certificate Training a plus), experience operating various pieces of equipment, a valid driver’s license, flexibility with assignments, and good communication skills. Positions are physically demanding - require ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally, work in a dusty environment, and walking on uneven ground. May also require working at heights and in extreme temperatures and humidity. Must be capable of promoting to vacancies in both Mine and Surface Operations (rotating shift work required).

Custodian

Responsible for maintaining change houses, offices, break areas, and other facilities in an attractive, clean, sanitary, and safe condition. Also initiates work orders for repair of areas where janitorial services are performed and work exceeds custodial capabilities.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of custodial experience. Position requires knowledge of cleaning equipment, related materials, and health standards. Successful candidate must possess good interpersonal skills, be dependable, able to work independently, and have a positive attitude about work.
